JPS Sandhu

Dr. Sandhu holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Madras (advisor: Dr. Santanu Ghosh) and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Kurukshetra (2015). His doctoral research focused on laminar-to-turbulent transition modelling for high-speed flows, producing publications in AIAA Journal, Computers & Fluids, and Shock Waves. After completing his Ph.D., he worked as a Senior R&D Engineer (CFD) at Yanxiki Tech before founding Zerodynamix to offer independent specialist consulting to aerospace clients worldwide.

He is the lead developer of FEST-3D, an open-source structured CFD solver published in the Journal of Open Source Software, and co-authored Computational Design and Optimization of Supersonic Intakes (Routledge / CRC Press, 2025) alongside Dr. Ik Soo Park and Dr. N. Ananthkrishnan.
